Caroline and Matthew met the traditional way: on a dating app. They matched on Bumble May 19, 2022, and had their first date June 1. It went so well that they had their second date June 8, but just two days later, Caroline would leave for a summer in Wisconsin, and these mere acquaintances were going to "see what happens." Matthew never stopped pursuing Caroline in her absence, winning her over with thoughtful conversation and witty banter. She returned in mid-late August, and by the 21st, they were official.

The next 2+ years were filled with happiness, adventure, love, appreciation, and patience. Oh, and great food and drinks, too. They traveled to Europe, frequented the theater, and even attended a Broadway play in NYC. They cheered at rugby games, renovated their house, danced in the kitchen, and never missed a date night, in or out.

In May 2024, Matthew proposed to Caroline in front of family and friends at the Japanese Tea Garden in San Antonio. She tearfully and enthusiastically accepted. They spent the night celebrating with all their friends. One year later, to the day, they will celebrate their wedding with all their favorite people. With joy, confidence, and gratitude, they welcome this next chapter of their love story.
